CSET: Multiple Subjects
Program Overview:
A.C.E.S. Tutoring features a specialized program for the CSET: Multiple Subjects exam. All test preparation is individualized and tailored to your CSET needs. The tutoring sessions focus on developing content area knowledge in the various domains of the test. Additionally, the homework assignments given as an integral part of our CSET prep course are patterned after the actual exam. These assignments include several multiple choice questions and constructed responses. The CSET tutors review all homework assignments and provide detailed feedback to enhance your test-taking skills and strategies.
CSET: Multiple Subjects Information
Subtest I: Social Studies and Language Arts
Social Studies: California History, US History, World History
Language Arts: Reading Instruction (for primary students), Grammar and
Paragraph Organization, Text Interpretation
• 52 total Multiple Choice questions, 4 essays (2 History, 2 Language Arts)
Subtest II: Science and Math
Science: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Astronomy, Geology, Meteorology
Math: Arithmetic problem solving (percents, proportions, ratios, etc), Algebra, Geometry
• 52 Multiple Choice questions, 4 essays (2 Science, 2 Math)
Subtest III: Human Development, Physical Education, Visual Arts (paintings, music, theater, dance)
• 39 Multiple Choice questions, 3 essays (1 Human Development, 1 PE, 1 Art)
Suggested Study Plan
Strongly advises all examinees to take only one CSET Subtest per exam date. Moreover, it is imperative to allow sufficient preparation time for the CSET because the amount of material on each Subtest is extensive.
Exam Scoring
A score of 220 is needed to pass each section of the CSET: Multiple Subjects exam.
